Wonderful weekend getaway to San Diego for our birthdays

Judy and I have been friends for 14 years and it's her big bday this year. We decided to get away to San Diego for some sun, good food, great conversation and of course dancing.

We stayed at the Omni just off gas lamp. Here are highlights
- good Mexican food first night, memorable late night cod sandwich and Caesar at burger lounge plus Yummy Chilean sea bass for sat dinner
- fun club crawl and then going to American junkie with great dance music and crowd.
- trying out lime scooter and lime bike - super convenient and fun
- trying ramen for Sunday lunch at a trendy spot in little Italy - decor and location were awesome. Ramen was good enough. Loved the seafood salad.
- flight delay home equals more shopping ;-)
- met interesting people including an artist

Alexis kindergarten graduation day

Isabel is going to Jose Ortega for 5th grade

I just registered her today and wow. The school is so nice. I had no idea how much better it looks than Starr king. Isabel will Love it. It will be a trek for us but it will be worth it for her.

Camping this weekend in Samuel Taylor park

Just 75 min from our house, we are here camping since yesterday with Starr king 4th kinder and 3rd grade families. Awesome tall red trees. Kids are having a blast. We are learning about starting fires and using coal stoves and exchanges supplies with neighbors.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Alexis told me yesterday. " my favorite holiday is tomorrow - happy Mother's Day! I have 3 cards for you and left a fourth one at jackson (her after school program)". How sweet! This is that first one. ;-)

Happy 10th bday to isabel

Can't believe I have a 10 year old. Had to pause there to really think about this. Time has flown. I still remember the first time I held her in my arms - 7lbs and a face of an angel.

Luckily she is still an angel - loving, kind, creative, curious, energetic, passionate. I love it that she still wants to hang with mommy and sleep with mommy. Hopefully I have a few more years of it.

We hosted a sleepover for her three besties on Saturday and then had flan and presents today - her actual bday.

It was nice to do the flashmob twice in one day. This was our first one where we can practice with a smaller audience before the one in front of ferry building.
