Her new favorite toys from Grandma Grandpa Han

Grandma and Grandpa Han dispatch their elf (me) to get many presents for Isabel this holiday including practical things like overnight diapers, rain cover for stroller, rain boots and overall for Isabel. The latest things that arrived in the mail are more fun and Isabel's favorite toys - a talkable tea pot and cuttable fruits. She plays with them every day. Here are two videos

Labor Day weekend with Grandma Han

My mom got a last minute ticket to come and visit us over Labor Day weekend. Isabel had a blast. Even though she hasn't seen her in 4 months, I think she remembered her (maybe her voice). As soon as my mom came in, she just came to her and wanted to be held. Isabel let my mom hold her for a long time, which is unusual for her. Isabel was like that with us as well when we came back from Chicago.

I guess it's her way of expressing that she missed Grandma. The weekend went by very fast. The last two pics above was Tuesday morning right before my mom was leaving. It was almost like Isabel knew, because she was kind of quiet and sad all morning.

Isabel says "Grandma" in Chinese

Grandma in Chinese is "Laolao" for the mother's side. Agnes and I have been teaching Isabel the last month how to say it. I think she got it. :-)

A Little Performer with Grandma's help

Grandma Lapena has been teaching her this hand motion for a few months now and Isabel loves it. Now when we play music and we start twirling our hands, she will follow. It's so cute.

Pretty in White

Isabel was baptized on Sunday, November 23, 2008. She looked so cute in her white dress. Jaime's mom got it for her in the Philippines. We have already passed the dress to Emily for her baby's baptism next year to start a family tradition.

Isabel was so good at church. She only cried a few cries but smiled for most of it. While I am not religious, Isabel was baptized since it's so important to Jaime's family. Whether she will grow up religious remains to be seen. I hope to let her decide for herself when she grows up.

For her, it was just one big festivity, with relatives all around, lots of pictures taken, and good food at Grandma's house.

Isabel Playing with Grandma

When Isabel is not hungry, she plays very happily. Here is a clip with my mom after she just ate.
